e - Estonia

"e-Estonia" is a term commonly used to describe Estonia's emergence as one of the most advanced e-societies in the world – an incredible success story that grew out of a partnership between a forward-thinking government, a pro-active ICT sector and a switched-on, tech-savvy population. Thanks to this success, Estonians and the Estonian state enjoy a wide range of e-solutions that those living elsewhere can only dream about, and their nation has become the example for others who wish to follow the same path.

TZV Technologiezentrum Vorpommern

Technologiezentrum Fördergesellschaft mbH Vorpommern (TZV) supports established and start-up companies with their settlement. TZV provides next to a modern infrastructure with their offices, laboratories, conference- and seminar rooms also competent advice and support for business start-ups as well as for those that are already established.

ITL Estonian Association of Information Technology and 

Telecommunications

Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (Eesti Infotehnoloogia ja Telekommunikatsiooni Liit (ITL)) is a voluntary organization uniting Estonian IT and telecommunications companies in order to promote their co-operation in Estonia's development towards information society, to represent and protect their interests and to express their common positions. Among the more then 40 members of ITL are included; Ericsson Eesti, Eesti Telekom, Webmedia, Skype Technologies, Nokia Eesti, Tallinn University of Technology, Microsoft Estonia and many more.

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland

VTT is the biggest multitechnological applied research organization in Northern Europe, with an anually net turnover of €245 million. VTT, the provider of high-end technology solutions and innovation services, has 2700 employees and a client base of 6500 (including IBM, F-Secure, Nokia, etc). VTT has been operating since 1942.

         

CABA

The Continental Automated Building Association (CABA) is a not-for-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of intelligent home and intelligent building technologies in North America.The organization is supported by an international membership of nearly 400 companies involved in the design, manufacture, installation and retailing of products relating to home automation and building automation. CABA's mandate includes providing its members with networking and market research opportunities. CABA also encourages the development of industry standards and protocols, and leads cross-industry initiatives.

The American Chamber of Commerce

AmCham Estonia is a non-profit, non-political association of business executives interested in:

  • facilitating trade between the United States and Estonia
  • increasing US investment in Estonia
  • developing relationships with suitable business partners locally and internationally

Members of the AmCham Estonia include both businesses and individuals from the United States, Estonia and neighboring countries who are conducting business in or trade with Estonia. 

Tehnopol

Tehnopol is a science and business environment for knowledge based companies. Today there are 150 companies, Tallinn University of Technology and IT College in Tehnopol. 
Tehnopol provides a unique set of value adding business development services, convenient infrastructure and international cooperation opportunities for companies.

ICT Demo Center

Estonia has found recognition as an IT-capable country and many technological services have been developed here, but the introduction and sale of these solutions in Estonia and abroad have been stunted until now. Other members of the ICT Demo center include among others; EMT, NASDAQ QMX, Microsoft, Skype, Track24.
The ICT Demo Center will showcase the solutions intended for the public and the private sector and will show them functioning together. The goal of the ICT Demo center is to introduce the Estonian ICT solutions and to encourage their implementation in Estonia and in the international market.

ICT Export Cluster

The main aim of the project is to increase the ICT sector’s export capabilities and develop a sales network for Estonian ICT solutions on all main markets. The project includes market research and visiting trips to the US and European, Asian and African countries. The cluster designates the production of marketing materials, cooperation with universities to improve study programs and initiate innovative cooperation projects.

European Regional Development Fund

The European Regional Development Fund was established in 1975. The subsidies granted from the Fund are coordinated by the European Commission's Directorate General for Regional Policy.

The overall objective of the European Regional Development Fund is to support the development of economic activities and infrastructure on regional level. Among other things, the development of low carbon economic growth and the improvement of environmental protection.
